Surgical updates (sorry for the delay!)

Dear all surgical group mates.
There has been a little confusion about our timetable so here are our latest updates.

  1. TBL on the 2nd may 2012 with LSK has been changed from neck n breast to periop management.
  2. TBL with RD supposed to be on the 30th April has been postponed to 11th May 2012. Topic will be neck and breast lumps.
  3. TBL with HUQ on the 7th May could be brought forward to the 4th May(friday) instead. Not confirmed yet. Will update soon.
  4. As for the stoma care patient interview, I have discussed with Sister tay and it would not be possible to call the patient for such a short period. We can find patients with stomas in the ward and interview them together if you would like.
  5. If you would like any other topics to be discussed in classes please inform me and i will try to arrange.
Thank you! :)

Surgery Posting updates

Dear surgery groupmates,

There are few updates here for you guys. =)

1) For case report and case summary, we need to submit 5 case summaries and 2 case report. But we only need to submit 1 case report and 2 case summaries at the end of week 4 (01/10/10). The rest must be submitted latest by the end of week 6 (15/10/10). We must submit them to our specific lecturers that will be assign to us by AAD but the namelist is not out yet and it only will be out by thursday (23/09/10).

2) You guys must submit both case reports and summaries via elearning. the address is elearning.imu.edu.my. After login, click clinical school, scroll down and find the header semester 6. Click the sub header 'submit portfolios'. There will be the lecturers name that we need to send the portfolios to (which the namelist isn't out yet). Please read the 'student portfolio submission guidelines' on the same page for further instructions. If having trouble login, please contact IT department, 3rd floor.

3) For those who are going to Operation Theatre (OT), you are advised to take the OT crocs from Madam Pao at the sister's room 2nd floor one day before your OT schedule. Please don't dirty them and please return them back immediately after use.

4) As dental and elective students will be leaving us this week, I will have to move one or two students from their perspective groups to the groups that has few members to balance the grouping. Really sorry for any inconvenience.

That is all. Thank you =)
