1st Malaysian International Medical Students Conference AND Convocation

Convocation
We'll be recruiting 15 students to help out in ushering for this Saturday's Convocation (30 May 2009) from 6.45am till about 12 noon. Each volunteer will be paid RM30. Snacks and lunch will be provided. Those interested please email imusrc@gmail.com or text Jodie at 0149215715 by tomorrow morning, 27 May 09. Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

1st Malaysian International Medical Students Conference
Due to overwhelming response from other universities, places for the conference are filling up very quickly. As such, application deadline has been brought forward. Those interested in joining the conference, please confirm participation with Jodie by 29 May 09 (Friday) and make payment by 2 June 09 (next Wednesday). Details of the conference as follows:

Date: 4 - 6 September 09
Venue: Palace of the Golden Horses, Seri Kembangan, Selangor
Theme: War, peace and natural calamities: the doctor in conflict
Price (early bird): RM300 for non MMA members, RM250 for MMA members
After early registration: RM450 for non MMA members, RM400 for MMA members

If there are any students who have scientific presentations that thay would like to share with the rest of the world, they are encouraged to submit to us too.

Elections for the EXCO of the Society of Medical Students would also be held during the conference, IMU will be sending one nomination. Those interested, please approach Jodie.
