It is our honour and pleasure to announce that the International Medical University (Clinical School, Batu Pahat) is organising the above event in association with the Ministry of Health, Malaysia (Hospital Batu Pahat). i hope you guys stil remember the episiotomy repair CSU we had before. sorry for this late notification if you are not aware of the requirement. you are required to do the episiotomy repair on the model and it will be assessed by the sister of imu and it will be graded in your logbook. you need to do this within this posting. you can go to the csu during your spare time or during lunch time and ask the sister for the instruments. do the episiotomy repair and show it to the sister. they will grade you in your logbook. sorry for the late notice.

Announcement for Qualitative Study

For those who have answered the research questionnaire on empathy, there is one part on consent form which invites volunteers to join a focused group discussion. So now this is the invitation for anyone who doesn’t mind spending 30 minutes for a casual talk on what you think of empathy in general. It is conducted by the 2 researchers, Isabell and Akmal (Semester 7) who are involved.


We need:

3 students from Semester 7, 3 from Semester 8 and 4 from Semester 9 – 10 students in total (10 is minimum. More people are welcomed!!! If you want to join as audience, you are welcomed too!!!)

Early Pregnancy and its Problems SEMINAR

Hye guys

I am sorry for this late notice. I was just been told that the topic for tomorrow is actually a SEMINAR, where we are going to present the topic. I have met Prof Zain and these are the topics that we will need to cover.

1.      Nausea and Vomiting, and also Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

Nausea and vomiting are common in pregnancy. But hyperemesis gravidarum is different thing altogether. I initially thought they are the same. By definition put by Prof Zain, hyperemesis gravidarum is nausea and vomiting which lead to electrolite imbalance and decrease in wieght.

2.      Bleeding in early pregnancy: focus on ECTOPIC and MOLAR pregnancy

3.      Nutiritional deficiency

For this presentation, the tasks are:

Group A: Nausea and vomiting, and also hyperemesis gravidarum + Nutritional deficiency

Please focus on nausea and vomiting, and also hyperemesis gravidarum. Just touch lightly on nutritional deficiency since Malaysia is a rich country.

Group B: bleeding in early pregnancy: focus on ectopic and molar pregnancy
